This shows where original pond had been built directly in the front of the house. The entire area will now be paved with the same stone that can be seen to the front of the house.
Below is an aerial shot taken from the roof of the building showing the old installation and the new pond being constructed to the right of the photograph.
This shows one of the custom surface skimmers being positioned in the pond wall to the correct height.
High summer in Penang with humidity off the scale, however work needs to be done as usual. When this foreman shouts ‘DIG’ it is wise to know Malay for ‘HOW DEEP SIR?’
The pond is already watertight by construction but it will be sealed with four coats of G4 resin. Dimensions have been increased from 16 feet square to 18 feet by 22 feet. The filtration units can easily cope with this extra volume of water.
